Laurie Ayers is a professional speaker, author and Associate Director of Defensive Countermeasures Institute, LLC. She specializes in educating people about their personal safety and inspiring them to become their own best protectors. In April 2007, she began traveling giving keynotes and seminars in schools, organizations and corporations. To date, she has spoken to thousands of people with her inspiring, humorous and empowering message of staying safe from violence and finding confidence in the process. Laurie is a member of AWSDA (Association of Women's Self Defense Advancement). She holds a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and is the former owner and founder of LA Self Defense.
